MEET GUSTAVO

Gustavo Rol is an experienced entrepreneur, senior business leader of private equity–backed agricultural organizations, with deep expertise in strategy, governance, and sustainable growth across diverse agricultural sectors.

He is the co-founder and former CEO of NFD Agro, where he led the development and growth of a diversified agricultural platform in Paraguay over a 20-year period. Under his leadership, the company expanded to more than 50,000 ha of production per year. While positively impacting more than 600 small rural farming families. The organization also engaged institutional stakeholders, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC – World Bank Group).

Gustavo held senior executive roles across agribusiness and ag-tech organizations, including a focused on mid-sized agricultural venture development across Latin America, and a technology, services platform, backed by Bunge. Earlier in his career, he served as Fund Manager for a Cattle Investment Fund at Cazenave & Associates in Buenos Aires, where he focused on livestock investment strategies and portfolio management.

Gustavo holds an MBA with an Agribusiness concentration; University of Nebraska; Bachelor of Science in Agronomy, Universidad Católica Argentina. During his graduate studies, he served as a research assistant in the Department of Agribusiness, focusing on the food processing and the relationship between functional foods and chronic disease. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, bringing a global perspective, operational depth, and multi-sector agricultural experience to the advisory leadership of Libertas Land.

He continues to work on his backhand and first serve.
